FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does laser eye surgery hurt?

Laser eye surgery doesn’t hurt. No needles are used, and local anaesthetic eye drops are used to numb your eyes once you are in the procedure room. Some slight sensation to touch on your eyelids and forehead may be felt, and you’ll feel mild pressure on your eye during the procedure.

How long will SMILE laser eye surgery take?

SMILE Pro laser eye surgery only takes 10-20 seconds per eye, but you will need to be at our clinic for 1-2 hours for a pre-operative consultation with the doctors.

Can I say goodbye to glasses after laser eye surgery?

This depends on your age and your eyes, but this is the goal!

How much does laser eye surgery cost?

Laser eye surgery costs range between $3,500 and $4,000 per eye, however, these costs may vary so we recommend booking a free assessment to determine the final cost.

How long before I can see clearly?

Your vision will recover quickly after surgery. Most people wake the next day and are surprised with how well they can see. It is normal for minor fluctuations in vision to occur over the following days as healing continues.
